How-to · Edit text in image

Change text in a screenshot or image

When you only have a flattened image — a screenshot, an exported poster, a product graphic — you cannot just retype the words. This editor asks an AI model to redraw the text you specify while keeping the design around it.

Edit text in an image

In short

  • Upload one PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 20 MB and 32 megapixels.
  • Name the current text and the exact replacement.
  • The output is a 1K PNG, not your original resolution.
  • Fonts, spacing and backgrounds can shift — always review.

Step by step

  1. Upload the image with sharp, readable text.
  2. Write the instruction: Replace "Summer Sale" with "Autumn Sale". Keep the font style, colour, size and position.
  3. Generate and compare against the source, letter by letter.
  4. Download the PNG when it is right.

When to use a design file instead

If you have the original layered file, edit the text there: you get exact typography and dimensions. AI editing is for flattened images where no editable source exists.

What not to do

Do not use it to falsify identity documents, financial records, credentials or evidence, or to mislead people about what an image originally said. Only edit images you own or have permission to edit.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

A new account receives 2 welcome credits for one image-text edit. More edits use paid credits shown before submission.

Will it match the original font exactly?

Not necessarily. It is instructed to preserve the design, but fonts and spacing can change.

Is my image processed in my browser?

No. It is uploaded to the service and its AI provider. Do not upload sensitive documents.
